Holiday Greens Sale at Adkins Arboretum
Adkins Arboretum will hold its annual Holiday Greens
Sale on Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fresh local
greens, decorated wreaths, swags, roping, boxwood trees and other
natural materials will be for sale to deck the halls for a beautiful
Eastern Shore holiday.
The day will include a natural ornaments workshop, held
from 1 to 3 p.m. and led by garden designer Nancy Beatty. Participants
will make such items as decorated pinecones, cranberry wreaths
and miniature topiaries using dried flowers, bark, seedpods and
other natural materials. Supplies will be provided. Pre-registration
is required for the workshop; the fee is $18 for members, $20
for the general public.

Adkins Arboretum is a 400-acre native garden and preserve at the
headwaters of the Tuckahoe Creek in Caroline County. Open year
