Supporting the Campaign for the New Arboretum Center
The Arboretum's proposed capital expansion - the new Arboretum Center and the Native Garden Gateway - represents a substantial investment in public and private funds. To date, $4.5 million toward the $6.5 million goal has been raised from individual contributions, as well as Maryland Capital Bond Bills and grants from the National Park Service Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Grayce B. Kerr Fund, and the Marcia Brady Tucker Foundation.
Proposed Entrance Path - Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc.
The Arboretum's growth and success can be traced to its strong public support. Today, Arboretum members total 1,300, and the volunteer corps represents more than 150 dedicated and generous individuals. Of the Arboretum's 18,000 annual visitors, 5,000 are children.
