Native Plant Nursery

Adkins Arboretum’s Native Plant Nursery
specializes in growing plants native to the Delmarva Peninsula.
Many plants are propagated
from locally collected seeds and cuttings. The Arboretum grows
a large selection of trees, shrubs, vines, and perennials. These
plants
are used
for restoration projects and gardening at the Arboretum and are
for sale to the public.

A
dedicated group of volunteers and
summer interns work
with Arboretum staff in the nursery. They manage five hoop
houses for container grown plants, a greenhouse and propagation
beds.
