Preschool planting

Preschool programs

Preschool classes are open to children ages 3 to 5. Pre-registration is required. Enrollment is limited to 15 children, so early registration is recommended. Classes are offered as a session of eight programs; all programs begin promptly at 10 a.m. For further information or to register, call 410-634-2847, extension 0. Fee for all eight classes in the session is $55 for members, $65 for the general public. Each class includes a snack and a craft. Programs are led by popular children’s teacher Jenny Houghton.

Programs for schools

A variety of ecology lessons and Arboretum tours are offered based on state school curriculum standards. To arrange for a school field trip, contact Coreen Weilminster at 410-634-2847, extension “30” or email her at .

Creative Kids Summer Camps

Summer belongs to children. Adkins Arboretum is providing a Summer Camp series that affords children an easygoing, relaxed atmosphere in which their creativity and sense of fun may flourish. The goal of Creative Kids Camps is to provide each camper with many diverse opportunities to discover and shine—both outdoors and within.
